The method

What is the New Pilates by AD? Everything you love about classic Pilates - and more.

Anna Decker, the founder of New Pilates by AD, has tried many sports in her life, aiming to do her best in each and every one.

“I wasn’t particularly fast for a triathlon career, I wasn’t brave enough for professional gymnastics, but I was always good at all-rounders – that’s why I was able to win championships in fitness and aerobics, because they are really complex sports. I created the New Pilates by AD method with that in mind.”

Anna discovered Pilates after the birth of her second child, but felt that the movements could be improved – she was an adrenaline junkie who needed the experience of a high-speed workout. She wanted to make Pilates more colourful and exciting, while preserving all its original benefits and healing effects.
Her goal all along has been to keep the depth of Pilates that we believe in, but to keep it evolving in a way that doesn’t uproot it – thus New Pilates by AD was born.

Cardio elements

Cardio exercises are recurring elements of our workouts – so you’re in for a fast-paced, dynamic class. Instead of jumping, these exercises include lunges, light gambols and spinning disc elements – so they’re easy on the knees and spine.

Swings

“Well, I certainly can’t do that” – elements that everyone can do. Safety is key, but it should still be challenging enough!
