I discovered Pilates as a form of exercise through a friend of mine. She gave me a Pilates class as a birthday gift, and from the very first experience, I felt something I had always been searching for in sports and physical activity. The New Pilates by AD method developed by Anna, along with the special equipment and suspension systems, offers a creative, varied, and intense workout that I haven’t encountered anywhere else or in any other form of movement. Its uniqueness also lies in the way it harmoniously combines elements from several sports and movement disciplines. At Anna’s studio, I can practice the classical Pilates method enriched with aerobics, ballet, yoga, and gymnastics exercises.
What motivates you?
My personal experience is that without strengthening the deep muscles, every other sport is like trying to build a house without laying its foundation—foundations that are meant to ensure the house withstands the test of time and environmental conditions. I look at my body the same way. The most important part we need to build within our body is the network of deep muscles, to prevent injuries and to establish a solid base for developing our overall musculature. The result is a much more toned, lean, strong, and flexible physique. That’s what motivates me in this form of training.
What can participants expect in your class?
A joyful, liberating atmosphere with precise, full-body strengthening and boundary-pushing movements. I welcome you with toning Pilates exercises, complemented by cardio and stretching. I place special emphasis on giving personal attention—whether men or women attend my class—ensuring that everyone pushes beyond their own limits relative to their individual muscle capacity. Real muscular development only begins once we go beyond our pain threshold. The struggle pays off, and through it, everyone’s self-esteem can grow from session to session.
She used to compete in dressage, studied ballet, functional training, and yoga—but it was in the New Pilates by AD method that she truly found her sense of self and the daily challenge for personal growth that continues to inspire her.
